A psychiatric practice serving New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Washington DC and Virginia — built on the belief that mental health care should feel personal, not procedural.
At Matehliz Mental Healthcare, we provide compassionate, individualized mental health services designed to support emotional well-being, personal growth, and lasting progress.
Our approach considers the whole person, taking into account each individual’s experiences, concerns, and treatment goals. As our practice grows, we aim to bring together qualified psychiatric providers and therapists who share our commitment to thoughtful, personalized care.
Because mental health can’t wait for a months-long waitlist.
Our approach focuses on understanding each person’s history, concerns, and goals while supporting continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.
Understanding the whole person, not simply a diagnosis.
We offer appointment options based on provider availability, location, and the services permitted in your state, including telehealth where available.
DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC — Founder, Matehliz Mental Healthcare
Welcome to Matehliz Mental Healthcare. I’m Dr. Anna Ngwafu, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 18 years of nursing experience and a deep passion for helping people feel heard, understood, and supported.
I understand that reaching out for mental health care can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, difficulty focusing, changes in your mood, trauma, sleepless nights, or simply feeling unlike yourself. Whatever brings you to us, you deserve a space where you can share your story without judgment and receive care that is personalized to your needs.
I founded Matehliz with a vision of creating a compassionate and welcoming practice where individuals and families can access high-quality psychiatric care, medication management, psychotherapy, and emotional wellness support. Our approach is collaborative and centered on the whole person. As Matehliz grows, our vision is to bring together caring psychiatric providers and therapists who share the same commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
“I look forward to walking this journey with you.”
